Acceptance of Terms

Thank you for using Ban Lister! The following Terms of Service is a legally binding agreement between you, partnered communities, Ban Lister and govern your use and access to BanLister’s website, ban searching database, automatic ban syncing and other connected services (collectively the “Service”) that are made available through the website (https://banlister.com) and associated domains / communities owned by Banister. By using the Service in any way, you agree to and accept these Terms, and any other legal notices or guidelines posted on the Site. If you are using our Service for a community or game server, you are agreeing to these Terms on behalf of that organization. If you do not agree to these Terms, we request that you don’t precede with using Ban Lister or any other associated services. When these Terms mention “BanLister,” “we,” “us,” or “our,” it refers to the BanLister Company. Your contracting entity will generally be determined based on your Country of Residence. Your “Country of Residence” is the jurisdiction associated with your Steam account as determined by either your express selection or by Steam’s assessment of your residence using various data attributes associated with your Steam account. In addition to the restrictions set forth above, you are prohibited from using the BanLister service for reasons other than it’s sole purpose – hosting ban lists on a free to use public repository and syncing bans. BanLister holds to right to cancel or remove any of its members if they are breaching either BanLister’s Terms of Service, or any of our associated services Terms. This can happen with or without any prior notice and BanLister does not hold obligation to hand out warnings.

Description of Service

Our web-based Service allows users to sync their steam profiles with a respective BanLister account displaying any game or community infringements from public and private sources. Along with the collection of bans, BanLister also hosts and provides its users with a ranking based on the aforementioned criteria. Any new additional feature to BanLister or its associated services will also be subject to the above mentioned terms. You may not access the Service by any means other than through the Service interfaces we provide you.

Registration

To register as a BanLister member, either you must connect with your relevant steam account, or a premade account may be provided based on previous bans on related communities / organizations. This account will be based on a non-changeable Steam ID, either provided by Steam’s inbuild API, or relevant ban. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the password and account, and for all activities that occur under your account. In consideration of the use of BanLister’s Service, you agree to maintain and update true, accurate, current and complete Registration Data in line with Steam’s own Terms of Service / Use – visit Steam’s website for more information.

Privacy Notice

BanLister collects data from relevant Steam API’s and partnered community inbuild plugin/addon. With this in mind, BanLister DOES NOT receive any information that may be of a private matter. Information collected will be related to the ban and the ban ONLY, this includes but not limited to, Banned user’s Steam ID, Server of Ban, Time of Ban (In respect to servers’ own location) and Severity of Ban (Length).

Website account and security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account on our website, for all activities that occur, or actions taken under the account or in connection within the web site. You agree to immediately notify us in writing of any unauthorized uses of the account or any other breaches of security. We will not be liable for any loss or damage from your failure to comply with this security obligation. You acknowledge and agree that under no circumstances will BanLister or any of its affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, or employees be liable, in any way, for any of your acts or omissions or those of any third party, including damages of any kind incurred as a result of such acts or omissions.

Donation

You may agree to a permanent donation of the amount of your own discretion. This donation is neither a requirement or a necessary payment to use the BanLister Service. All payments will be regarded as donations towards the community that has no goal of turning a profit and will be made through PayPal. BanLister members must note that all donations are final and under PayPal’s own Terms of Service are not Non-Refundable. We reserve the right to change our donation levels and may do so at any time. You authorize us to make any reasonably necessary inquiries to validate your account and financial information. All donations are in AUD (Australian Dollar) and do not include any taxes, levies, duties or similar governmental assessments of any nature, including, for example, value-added, sales, use or withholding taxes, accessible by any jurisdiction (collectively, “Taxes”). It is your responsibility to determine what, if any, Taxes apply to the payments you make or receive, and it is solely your responsibility to assess, collect, report and remit the correct Taxes to the appropriate authority. Members must also note that donations DO NOT exempt your account from termination of any breaches of the above-mentioned terms. Please do note that attempting to chargeback a donation will result in the immediate termination from any of the above-mentioned services. If you don’t receive your donations perks, please contact either an Owner or Staff Member through our respective commutative channels, DO NOT attempted a chargeback.

Cookies

BanLister uses cookies for the purpose of remembering a user’s steam account login. This is used to allow a user to only require a one time login to the BanLister website for a set period of time. A user has the right to block cookies on our site.

Ads

BanLister’s website has inbuilt and preselected ads from partners and affiliate organizations. These ads are manually added to the website and will only count user clicks. The use of our ads may link back to the organization’s own database to track clicks, ip addresses and other various information used for a data research purpose only.
